SJOG Foundation Fundraiser Success

Sjog Foundation Fundraiser Bambamboo Di Taylor With Dr Jason Tan

JahRoc Galleries was involved in a very successful fundraising event on Thursday 18th June which was a St John of God Foundation charity event with proceeds going towards important research into breast and ovarian cancer. Some of our own JahRoc Furniture went under the hammer, as well as paintings, glass and sculpture by some of JahRoc Galleries exhibiting Artists.

The crowd was excited and appreciative of the donated items on offer. It’s a winning combination to be able to contribute directly toward state of the art cancer research, and in exchange receive beautiful artworks, and furniture.

Of course none of this could happen without generous donations.

THANKYOU to the following JahRoc Galleries exhibiting Artists who donated on the night…

Shaun Atkinson, Kay Gibson, Vivienne Jagger, Margaret Heenan, Shannon Hamilton, Shane Moad, Felicia Aroney, Shirley Fisher, Janine Daddo, Narelle Pendlebury, Astrid Dahl, Inge Giebeler, Ann Steer, Helen Foster, Di Taylor, Larry Mitchell, David Bromley, JahRoc Furniture.

Total amount raised including all donated items, auctions and raffles – $130,465

Total amount raised from JahRoc FURNITURE & JahRoc ARTISTS – $74,400

The charity event was hosted at BamBamBoo restaurant in the city, with drinks and delicious food donated by owner Fai Wang. If you are in the city and want a quick bite of authentic Chinese food for lunch or dinner you must check out this funky new restaurant 140 William Street. Check them out online here…

Special thanks also goes to Mike Annert from Blue Wren Picture Framing and Gallery who loaned his Art Delivery Van to enable Gary and Lara to deliver the furniture and artwork to the event and then to the customer’s homes. Mike – your van made our job so much easier – especially in the heavy rain!!
