Margaret River Artist Caroline Juniper is inspired by the history scattered on the outskirts of town; the old homesteads and machinery crumbling away; the rust and peeling paint and pre-loved gardens. Caroline is an art educator and specialises in screen printing to produce these crisp limited edition prints full of the reminiscent images of yesteryear.
Caroline Juniper – Biography
Caroline Juniper was born in Margaret River Western Australia. She completed a Bachelor of Secondary Art Education at The Western Australian Institute of Technology in 1987. Specialising in Printmaking, screen printing became her favourite technique because of its immediacy and surprises.
While living and teaching in Fremantle in the early 90s, Caroline put together her first solo exhibition of original limited edition screen prints. These works displayed old and renovated buildings around Fremantle, Rottnest and Cottesloe.
Since that time Caroline has moved back to her birth place, Margaret River and produced many more original prints and commissions including book covers, festival posters, menu designs, and wine and olive oil labels.
Caroline’s latest works depict the beautiful textures of ageing, vibrant colour and a feeling for places and collectables.
