Larry moved to the coastal town of Geraldton in 2004 bringing his extensive knowledge and exquisite workmanship as a master jeweler to a new audience. Larry’s great love of precious gems was partly fostered by his grandfather, a trusted diamond dealer who came to South Africa from Scotland in 1885. The woodcarvers and sculptors of Africa inspired his Creatures collection which depict turtles, lizards, frogs and other delicious creatures beautifully created in gold, silver and gem stones. Along with his partner Gemma Baker, Baker Williamson Studios create works of exceptional difference transcending the traditional production of jewellery to the making of important art.
