Jody Broun

The colours and shapes of her native Pilbara are central to Jody Broun's paintings, with the Aboriginal people as her inspiration. Jody has developed a close affinity with her Aboriginal relatives, and uses a simplicity of form to create riveting images of people coming to terms with their Aboriginality, drawing on a luscious palette of deep crimsons, rich reds and blues. Jody Broun has exhibited to critical acclaim throughout Australia as well as Singapore, London, Milan, Kyoto and Mauritius, and has dedicated herself to the service of Australia’s Indigenous people
