Shirley Fisher
"Shirley Fisher's landscapes are well known to collectors in Australia and overseas. Her mastery of the pastel medium is exemplified in her exquisite renderings of the Western Australian littoral. The works are highly figurative whilst retaining strong expressive elements and a very evident sense of place.
Shirley has been a professional artist for the past fifteen years. She has exhibited widely and has won a number of awards. The artist's imagery and technical repertoire has been developed by intensive personal study and has been further enhanced by art visits to the Indian sub-continent and Southern Europe. It is however, by her expressive and sensitive studies of our coastline that she is best known."
