Penelope Wise

Penelope works from her home studio in Margaret River Western Australia. Her beautiful landscapes, seascapes and flower works incorporate natural materials, textured fabrics, handmade papers and acrylic paint. Penny has held numerous solo and group exhibitions and her work is represented in collections both national and international.

Penelope Wise

Penelope primarily works as a mixed media artist incorporating found natural materials, textured fabrics, handmade papers and acrylic paint. Penny's layered technique of paper, fabric and paint connect her to natural influences, which focus on 'impressions of beauty' she may find in flowers, land/seascapes and other environments. The study of light and her natural use of colour play an important part in Penny's work, which incorporates textures found in fabrics, and other materials that are an emotional response to what she sees and observes. The paintings are sculptured and layered creating a textured three dimensional illusion.
