Larry Mitchell's paintings leave people in rapture. He has a renowned ability to create beautiful paintings that make viewers feel as if they could dive into the waters of his Abrolhos series or simply gasp at the majesty of the Kimberley landscapes, his latest series. Larry has been a full-time artist since 1997 travelling to remote places around the world and exhibiting both nationally and internationally. Gary has spent his life observing the balance and form of structures, both manmade and natural. In 1987 he founded Jahroc in Scarborough Western Australia and for the past 17 years he has been focused on the creation of furniture with his long standing business partner and good friend Dave Paris. Over the years Gary has made study trips to Japan, Northern Italy and Los Angeles, inspirational tours that continue to shape his current work. Jahroc is recognised as the most highly awarded furniture company in Australia and their furniture is represented in both national and international collections.
